Cha Cha Bruno Mars Dance Trend

This trend is used to show a before and after, usually a couple, getting ready for an event, beginning in ‘normal’ or comfy clothes, to then being dressed up. However, this trend is a spin on this, starting by the couple ‘bumping’ into one another and then spinning out of frame. To re-enter the frame the couple cha cha’s back in, now dressed up. Therefore, joining the many versions of transformation videos.

You’re My Dan

With Noah Kahan releasing his new album earlier this year came many trending audios, including this one. Creators are using his song ’Dan’ to show their best friend, partner or a close family member, making a collection of small clips or photos of their relationship with that person. This trend is used as a way for people to make those around them feel special, and showcase the most important people in their lives.

That’s not my name trend

This trend gives people space to be sarcastic and silly. Creators are using this trend to take quotes from the people around them such as ‘it’s not funny’ or ‘clean your room’, and making fun of them, or dismissing them in a humorous way. Following up the quote with saying ‘but that’s not my name so it’s okay’ to state that they don’t have to listen to them, or do what they say. Some creators are using this trend to make fun of simple things, whereas others are using it in reference to more out of pocket things.

That’s my why

Couples have created a trend that show an either humorous or romantic reason as to why they are with their partner. The trend opens with an image of the couple, captioning it with the length of time they have been together, followed by a slide showing the reason. Some of the reasons creators have been using showcases their partner being romantic, and the ideal partner, with screenshots of messages, or things that their partner has done. Whilst others have used this to show something humorous such as their partner carrying a mini version of them around. All of this is followed by the creator saying ‘that’s my why’.

I think I need a… Trend

This trending audio is being used to break up a sentence in two, the build up and then the climax. In this video, the audio is building, as the caption is building, for example ‘I don’t feel so good I think I need a…’, being followed by the climax of the sentence as the music climaxes, for example ‘DOCTOR’. Although, other creators are also using the sound in a humorous way, as the climax of the audio gives nod to a 90’s model audio. For example a caption such as ‘that feeling when you skip your after dinner sweet treat’, creators use the climax to then do a model style move and pose.

‘I’m kinda busy’ audio trend

Creators are using a snippet of Lada Gaga’s Telephone, and the lyrics ‘I cannot hear you, I’m kinda busy’ as a base for a transformation. First showing a clip of the creators feet/footwear whist they’re getting ready or before they begin to get ready, followed by a harsh transition of them stamping, transitioning to them glammed up and in black tie. Like the Cha Cha Dance trend, this trend adds to the collection of transformation audios for creators to choose from.
